RetroSnake Privacy Policy

1. Introduction Welcome to RetroSnake, developed by Michael Iveson. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you play our mobile game.
2. Information We Collect: We do not collect any personal data directly through the game without your explicit consent. However, the app uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:

Firebase Authentication: If you create a "Secure Cobra Account," we collect your email address solely to manage your account and save your progress (coins, skins, and high scores) to the cloud.

Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to collect non-identifying technical data (such as your device model, OS version, and in-game events like map choice) to improve the game experience.

Advertising ID: We use your device's Advertising ID to serve rewarded video ads via Unity Ads. This allows you to earn extra lives by watching a short video.
3. Third-Party Services Our app integrates the following third-party SDKs: Some data may be shared with third-party service providers such as Unity Ads, Firebase, and Google Play services to enable game functionality, analytics, advertising, and in-app purchases.

Unity Ads: For providing rewarded video advertisements.
•
Google Play Games Services: For global leaderboards and achievements.
•
Google Play Billing: For processing in-app purchases of Cobra Coins. These services have their own privacy policies which you can review on their respective websites.
4. Data Security We take the security of your data seriously. Your account information is stored securely via Google's Firebase infrastructure, which uses industry-standard encryption to protect your data.

Advertising Preferences: You can reset your Advertising ID or opt-out of personalized ads through your Android device settings.
6. Changes to This Policy We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
7. Children's Privacy: RetroSnake is not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that such information has been collected without parental consent, we will take steps to remove it.
8. Data Retention: We retain your account information only for as long as your Secure Cobra Account remains active. If you request account deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our systems within a reasonable time frame.
8a. ACCOUNT DELETION AND DATA RETENTION
How to Request Account Deletion: We provide a straightforward process for users to delete their "Secure Cobra Account" and all associated data. To prominently request deletion, please follow these steps:
1.
Email Us: Send an email from the email address associated with your account to support@iveywrld.com.
2.
Subject Line: Use the subject line "ACCOUNT DELETION REQUEST".
3.
Verification: Our team will send a confirmation link to your email to verify ownership. Once you confirm, your account will be queued for permanent deletion.
4.
Processing Time: Account deletion is typically completed within 30 days of your confirmation.
What Data is Deleted Upon Account Deletion When your account is deleted, the following "Personal Info" and "Game Progress" data are permanently erased from our active Firebase servers:

Your Email Address and login credentials.
•
Your entire Cobra Coin balance.
•
All unlocked skins and purchase history.
•
Cloud-synced high scores linked to your email.
Data Retention and What is Kept
•
Financial Records: Under local laws, records of financial transactions (In-App Purchases made via Google Play Billing) must be retained for 7 years for tax and audit purposes. This data is kept in a separate, secure financial database and is no longer linked to an active game profile.

Anonymized Analytics: Technical data (such as "Game Crash Logs") that has been stripped of all identifiers may be kept indefinitely to help us improve the game for other users.
•
Backup Data: Erased data may persist in our encrypted server backups for up to 90 days before being completely overwritten.
9. Jurisdiction / Legal Compliance: We comply with applicable privacy laws and regulations, including those relating to user data protection and digital services.
9a. DATA DELETION REQUESTS (NON-ACCOUNT HOLDERS)
If you do not have a Secure Cobra Account but wish to have your technical data (such as your device’s Advertising ID history) deleted:
1.
Go to your Android Settings > Google > Ads.
2.
Select "Delete advertising ID."
3.
Additionally, you may email iveywrld@phantomtech.ca with the subject "GENERAL DATA DELETION" to request the removal of any cached analytics associated with your unique device identifier.
10. Log Data: In case of an app error, we may collect log data through third-party tools that may include device information, operating system version, and time/date of use. Firebase sometimes collects this automatically.
